Like most Meshuggah songs it is in 4/4. The rhythm at the start of the song is counted in 8th note triplets in groupings of 4.
The long note at the start of the riff actually goes for 5, which displaces the rhythm.
There is also those double hits. The easiet way to count them is 4 single hits followed by a double.
As shown above the riff is 8 bars long, which is often the case in most Meshuggah songs. The best way to learn this riff is to play 8th note triplets and then accent the notes shown above.
